Eligibility
To be eligible for all ages near market apartments you must be 18 years of age or older and meet the following income/occupancy thresholds:

Application Evaluation and Waitlist
Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received. To ensure efficient review of your application, ensure you have included all the required documents and have completed the application in full. The waitlist for our Near Market Housing is chronological (first-come-first-serve).
Apply Online
Using our online application portal is the most efficient way for you to apply and manage updates to your application.
If you are unable to use our online application portal to apply for housing at Silver Birch Court or Muriel Ross Abdurahman Court You can complete a paper application and mail it to us.
Heartland Housing Foundation reserves the right to evaluate the sustainability of an application for tenancy based on income. This ensures that tenants are not adversely impacted by their responsibility to pay rent monthly and supports the sustainability of our operations and our ability to serve the community.
We will discuss with applicants what a sustainable tenancy could look like for them given their income. When necessary, we can suggest other housing options available within the region that may be more aligned with the applicant’s income.

- Landlord Reference Check (if applicable)
- Pet Application (if applicable)
- Consent to Release Personal Information (if applicable)
- Copy of your most recent income tax notice of assessment
Application Steps
- Fill out the application forms required.
- Please include a copy of your most recent income tax notice of assessment along with your application.
- Your completed application package can be mailed to us.
Completed application packages should be delivered to our offices.
